Award

Court ruling at the end of the auction by which the property is awarded to the highest bidder.

In brief

The award is the central ruling at the end of the auction; narrow reference: § 190 Enforcement Act.

The award does not automatically confer possession, eviction or economic use. Downstream consequences we review narrowly against § 237 Enforcement Act and only from the file.

Legal basis

Statutory texts for orientation; the version in force at the relevant time prevails.

This explanation gives a general overview of Austrian law and does not replace a lawyer’s examination of the individual case.
